Jesus is Condemned to Death
   
V.  We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you.
R. Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world
   
Leader: 

Consider how Jesus Christ, having been scourged and crowned with thorns, was unjustly condemned by Pilate to die on the cross.
All:

My adorable Jesus, it was not Pilate; no, it was my sins that condemned you to die.  Because of this sad journey that my soul is making toward eternity.  I love you, Jesus, my love, more than I love myself.  With all my heart I am sorry that I have offended you.  Never let me be separated from you again.  Grant that I may always love you, and then do with me what you will.
